It was a good day for me some years ago when I was able to acquire the services of Mr Gnanalingham and his excellent team. I was suffering increased back pain, severe leg cramps and painful lower leg symptoms particularly at night. My GP using the NHS booking system referred me and it was my good fortune to be seen in Mr Gnanalingham’s clinic. My initial consultation gave me great confidence that I was in safe hands. After the usual scans and examination Mr Gnanalingham was able to identify the problem in my lower spine. I was offered a spinal epidural to reduce the symptoms and I was quickly convinced that this was the way to go. 5-6 years have passed and several procedures of this kind have been undertaken. Throughout Mr Gnanalingham has been able to inform me and lead me through this with his calm and knowledgeable approach. His thoroughness has indicated recently another area needing attention which is indicative of his approach to me as more than just a patient. Whatever the future holds I will trust his friendship, his opinions and practical skills and am extremely grateful for his very kind attention.

I was referred to ManchesterNeuro after suffering increasingly severe symptoms from a pre existing neck condition. I was advised that a surgical procedure (ACDF) was the best treatment and underwent this four weeks later. I was discharged the day after surgery and am currently recovering at home. The outcome has been good in my case with the symptoms noticeably reduced and continuing to improve. I am very happy with the treatment and found the consultant, Mr. Gnanalingham and all of the staff professional and approachable and the pros and cons of the procedure were well explained. I would have no hesitation in recommending ManchesterNeuro to anyone with a neurological complaint. My quality of life has been much improved as a result.

I have been under the care of Mr Gnanalingham for a number of years now, including during the covid outbreak. He has continued to be kind caring and very thorough in his investigations and covered all the options available to me in relation to my spine pain. I was lucky to be told that I do not need surgery to my spine, so I have made various life style changes instead to improve my mobility. He did discover that some of my pain is coming from my hip joint which will need to be replaced in the near future. I now have a very clear and detailed clinical letter giving me a full diagnosis of my current medical situation. This is reassuring and I now know what I need to do to help myself moving forward. His secretary Vaani is also perfect at getting any messages from myself to Mr Gnanalingham seamlessly, and he responds promptly. This makes for a completely stress free experience. I cannot thank them enough and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I first saw Mr Gnanalingham after not having much luck with my GP in getting a diagnosis. I had an MRI scan and was quickly seen for a follow up appointment. Mr Gnanalingham was very thorough and helped me understand my results. I was offered an epidural to ease my pain. The service throughout and communication was excellent. I was looked after before, during and after the procedure and I am very happy with the results. I will definitely go back to Mr Gnanalingham in the future. He’s fantastic.
